Search For George is Back On

The search for third year RIT student, George Delany was slowed down this past weekend so the state police could regroup. Today I am proud to be able to say that the search is back on.
Meanwhile, RIT students and faculty are mobilizing to help find Delany. Students were in the Hornell area Saturday, posting fliers with Delany’s picture and physical description, as well as a number where anyone with information can contact the state police.
A Facebook page titled “Students Finding George DeLany,” where people can share and spread information about Delany, has also been created. The poster is available on the Facebook page, as well.
Family law attorney Paloma Capanna, who is also an adjunct faculty member at RIT and has known Delany since November 2010, said several students planned to speak with the college administration today to hold a rally on campus to support Delany and the search efforts later this week.

Delany is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds, with sandy-reddish hair. He was wearing a brown light-weight jacket when he was last seen.
Anyone with information is asked to call Wayland-based state police at 1-585-398-4100.
